Located between Kitty Hawk and Duck is the Town of Southern Shores. Stretching from the oceanfront to the soundfront, Southern Shores offers a variety of settings and activities for its many year round residents and vacationing guests. Federal savings and loan associations are permitted to make balloon mortgages with as little as five percent down and monthly payments that are smaller than the amount needed to fully amortize the debt.
